As of 2024, the latest version of TLS is 1.3. Upgrading to TLS 1.2 or higher is not expected to cause any breaking changes as long as the source of information supports that TLS version.
If there is a significant decrease in incoming traffic after an upgrade, that would be an indication that some older system does not support the upgraded TLS version. In that case, a rollback to the previous version is sensible.
